Gary K. Gunderson, CPA - Shareholder
Gary graduated with a BS in Public Accounting from St. Cloud State University in 1977 and obtained his CPA license in January 1980. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Income Tax Division of the AICPA.
Gary joined Gunderson, Waldvogel & Co., Ltd. in 1982 and became shareholder in 1986. His work experience includes
- Income tax preparation, planning and research, and representation on income tax audits
- Reviewed and compiled financial statements
- Accounting software package (QuickBooks and Quicken) installation and consultation
- Projections and budgets for clients on EXCEL
- Consulting services including business acquisition and sale representation, assisting and training client’s accounting personnel, and general business advice
Gary is an avid outdoorsman and is always happy to share about his latest hunting or fishing adventure. He and his wife Barb have a lake home in Alexandria and spend many hours there with their four grown children and grandchildren.
Jessica L. Waldvogel, CPA - Shareholder
Jessica joined Gunderson, Waldvogel & Co., Ltd, in November 2013 and became Shareholder in January 2017. She has fifteen years of public accounting experience. Jessica graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2007 and was issued her CPA license in October 2008. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.
She has worked extensively with privately held companies of varying sizes and industries as well as individual clients. She has experience in business and individual income tax preparation and tax planning. She is able to prepare compiled and reviewed financial statements. Her background also includes accounting and bookkeeping services and QuickBooks consultations.
Jessica truly enjoys getting to know her clients and building a trusting and respectful relationship while providing professional, quality services. When not in the office, she is spending time with her husband Nathan, children Lyla and Benjamin and their golden retriever.
Joy Anderson - Office Manager
Joy joined Gunderson, Waldvogel & Co., Ltd, in January 2004. She is a graduate of Concordia University, St. Paul. Joy’s friendly personality makes tax time a little more bearable for those that dread the season and jokes, “coming to our office is less painful than a visit to the dentist.” Joy enjoys the daily contact she has with our clients and always likes hearing about their kids and grandchildren. Her pleasant demeanor is something our clients appreciate along with her high degree of professionalism. Joy has been a Notary Public since December 2004. Joy and her husband, Jimmy live in Prior Lake.
Nathan Waldvogel - Firm Administrator
Nathan assumed the role of Firm Administrator in July 2022 and has been employed by the firm for several years completing projects as needed. Nathan graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2006 with a degree in Business Management. His work experience has been in customer service, client management, and as a data analyst. In his role, Nathan will be performing administrative tasks for the firm, working with TaxCaddy, QuickBooks, Excel, and Lacerte Tax.
Outside of work Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife Jessica (Shareholder), children Lyla and Benjamin, and in the outdoors especially at the family’s Cass County property.
